I'm browsing craigslist looking for a car for my sister in law, and I keep getting annoyed by somethings people say about the cars they're selling.
The two worst ones I'm seeing today are people specifying "highway miles" or implying that a clutch change would be cheap and/or easy.
What are other stupid things that private sellers are posting?

I appreciate the honesty with what's wrong with the car, because it's better than they alternative, but don't call it pristine or flawless right before you list off a bevy of issues.

"The A/C just needs a recharge."
This has never been the proper fix for a car up for sale with an A/C issue. Ever. Never, ever. Not once. If was just a recharge, you would have done it yourself and you wouldn't be selling the car.

"Adult owned" this is a huge offender to me. While granted it may be true, that the car was taken care of by a responsible adult, it could also have been beat on by someone who doesnt give a crap about it. Who says adults don't hoon or push a car as hard as their adolescent counterparts?
Another honorable mention and this is for both private and dealers...if you say it has a clean carfax and I look at it and oh look this thing has had a crash before I WILL NOT TRUST A SINGLE THING YOU SAY! If you can't even take the time to tailor the description for the car I won't buy it off you.

I saw one yesterday that was listed as "Clean!". The first picture showed a massive amount of body damage on the front corner.
Some people need to learn what the car selling adjectives mean...

This x1000... I find it laughable as a 2 sec google search shows 50 other cars of the exact model in my local area... it is also no excuse to try and sell it for 4~5k more then what it is worth.

It's also a sealed system and should never ever ever ever just be "low on freon". There's a leak, or the compressor's not compressing, or the valve is not.... valving.

"Solid car, Needs TLC" and the photo shows a rusted out late 80's vehicle on cinderblocks with a wasp nest in the back seat, and what appears to be the entire drivetrain disassembled into 10,000 parts in his back yard.
Also, when it says "Low miles for year", and the odometer shows approximately .5 Billion miles.

My sister in law might be interested, Her parents have had about 5 camrys so far.
I have a '99 Mercedes C230 that I wouldn't mind trading, it's got a salvage title but will be a great driver once i fix up the damage from the vandal (taillights and mirrors were broken).
